LOL, just when we were being impressed by his DFS. I’m still dubious regarding these defensive statistics. They may be rather indicative of defensive prowess, but definitive? I’m just not certain. Tauchman always shows well according to them, though. I see it this way. The numbers are 100% accurate, but the meaning is dependent upon many other things. Get all the numbers together and you have a decent idea of the player’s performance. You better be watching too, though. I believe players on teams with high K percentage pitchers get screwed a bit because there are fewer total changes. I also believe that a staff that leans toward ground ball pitchers or flyball pitchers can have a positive or negative effect on the stats of the fielders behind them. So you must reserve some thought unless you consider all the other elements involved. |

Does anyone consider Luke Voit a “great” hitter? Voit’s going to be kept in case Rizzo signs a free agent contract elsewhere. Voit isn't a great hitter but his overall numbers since he has been with the Yankees are very good. He's also a DH on a team with Stanton. True. He’s also over 30 years old and has played over 100 games in a season once. Amazingly, he’s only one year younger than Stanton. |

Hard to believe Torres has almost 40 RBIs when it seems like he's slumping weekly. Hard to believe no one on the Yankees is even close to being on pace for 100. Most is like 51 I think which would be on pace for what 80? |

I'd much rather watch old Tony the Tiger ads for Sugar Frosted Flakes or Andy Granatelli for STP the racer's edge or Joey Heatherton hawking the Serta Perfect Sleeper mattress. Too ancient for most of you. I even remember cigarette commercials. They were everywhere. |
