Announcers all over the league seem to have gone to calling pitches at the top of the zone “belt high”, which is baffling me. Maybe they all have one of those uncles that wears a high belt…

It really reminds me of the farm town I grew up in back in PA, I played on fields as a kid that had farm fields just beyond the OF fences. |
