The only thing I can think of that would explain this Davis issue is that he has options, so the Yanks can send him down to Scranton anytime they want. Allen doesn't have options and isn't even on the 40 man roster right now ( he was a covid replacement originally, so he doesn't count on the 40 man). Hopefully when the rosters expand in September, the Yanks find a way to add Allen to the 40 man and bring him up for the rest of the year. That's a rational basis for a wholly irrational decision. And all i could think of as well. My preference would be to dfa Davis and work from there. The could have easily just brought Florial up instead of Davis. |

Walks problematic.
