His bat is not good anymore, but if you could add up the bits taken away and add the RBI taken away he’s not a horrible asset. The CF should be able to catch the ball above all else. Brett Gardner can still do that. He might be capable of catching it for another ten years from what we’re seeing.

I remember going to games at Oakland-Alameda County Stadium when both it and I were young. It was a fun place to watch a game, but even by the mid-70s there were complaints about maintenance. Once Charley Finley broke up the great early 70s team, fans stayed away in droves-- they even had some crowds of less than 1,000.
The city of Oakland had to deal simultaneously with both Finley and Al Davis, which probably didn't help getting things done.
