As usual, Yank bats are silent when Monty pitches. Their $220M payroll yields a line-up with 4 players hitting under .225--2 of them under .200. Even the Orioles don't run that kind of line-up out there.

Boonie getting excited about possibly changing pitchers as Monty hits the magic 4 2/3 inning mark.

Boone looks elated taking Montgomery out. At least with him out of the game the Yanks might start showing effort on offense.

Why is it taking Monty 97 pitches to get 14 outs against this wretched Baltimore lineup?

The Yankees have scored three or fewer runs in 19 of Monty's 24 starts. Zero runs in seven of his starts, which leads the league. It has to be demoralizing.

In today's game they didn't even get a hit.

The Yanks consistent lack of offense when Montgomery pitches makes me wonder if they should consider dropping him in the post-season rotation. Nearly every time he pitches they don't do squat.
