Yikes, the Yanks are being outscored 19-4 the last two days by the playing out the string Tribe. Not a good a sign for Boone.

Jays and Red Sox win. Not looking good guys. This is basically where they are in a few minutes barring a miracle they are going to be 2.5 behind the Red sox and 1.5 behind the Blue Jays. Red Sox have off tomorrow and the Blue Jays play the Rays. So the Yankees basically have to sweep Texas theres literally no way around it otherwise, because if they lose even one game in the series there is a very high chance they would be a minimum of 3 games behind going into the Red Sox series. You don't want to get into a situation you have to sweep them at their stadium. The good thing here is the Mets are more than capable of beating the Red Sox and the Rays are more than capable of beating the Jays especially since the game is in that joke of a stadium in Florida. So that's what it comes down to have to sweep Texas. Can't have a chance of being 3 or more behind the Red Sox or Jays going into either series it has to be 2 or less. |

He’s standing up for them, which is really his only choice. But I believe him. I think they are trying, and perhaps too hard. The pressure is on. The press will be relentless this winter if they don’t at least get to the playoffs. It’s going to be bad either way. Then they also have to worry about where some of them will be playing next year, who will get re-signed, who might be the new team mates and manager, the coaches. They shouldn’t be thinking about those things, but surely they are. They’re human beings with all the same worries we have. Well, maybe not ALL of the worries we have… |
