The solutions to the Yankee woes is for fans to boycott YES and the games thus hurting the bottom line. Which they won't. As long as that is true the ownership won't make any real efforts to win. They don't care about WS they care about the bottom line. So they will do everything cheaply.
That is what this trade is about.

We made our big move Kaybli.... I must have wished on a monkey's paw. For certain. I mean, we all know Russ is completely on top of things. His 2022 Strat-O-Matic card set just arrived and he’s busily checking all the defensive rankings and bunting ratings. Also looking for players with .280 batting averages and no home runs to flesh out his all star line up…

Anthony Rizzo? So underwhelming.

Anthony Rizzo? So underwhelming. So that seems to be a no on Olsen, Freeman, Correa. We now have Higgy starting and lose Urshela for injury prone Donaldson and gained $50 mil on the payroll. How does this make the team better?

I guess this Isiah Diner Falefa guy isn't terrible he had 172 Hits last year which is more than anyone on the Yankees had.

I guess this Isiah Diner Falefa guy isn't terrible he had 172 Hits last year which is more than anyone on the Yankees had. . Nope. He can’t hit a lick. Ask Noetsi. He doesn’t hit .280. Finished last year at .271. To hit well you must hit .280. Russ has to go to K-Mart. Needs new underwear. Wapner’s on at 6:00… Kiner Falefa can’t play SS, who plays short stop? No, who’s on first?…

I would rather use LMH at 1b than Rizzo who did not impress me in terms of hitting on the yankees. He wants too much money.
Better to write off the year and hope the Yankees are right. But I wish they had taken the many offers for Andujar when they could have. Prospects commonly don't work out. I have seen lots of highly rated yankee prospects vanish within two years - like say Andujar.

I have seen lots of highly rated yankee prospects vanish within two years - like say Andujar. Rizzo carried the team offensively the first week on the team. He was not the same after returning from contracting COVID, which was scary for a cancer survivor with a compromised immune system. Rizzo hit a home run in the playoff game for the Yankees last season. My problem with Rizzo is his back, which is not getting any better as he ages. Rizzo can also spoil good pitches better than anyone in the Yankees lineup. And, his defense is the best we’ve seen in Pinstripes since Mankievitcz.

A good place to start, Rizzo plays old-school baseball, hitting behind the runner and moving runners into scoring position. Kiner-Falefa puts the ball in play, which at the bottom of the lineup is a good thing. If Higashioka could just learn to take the ball the other way, the back of the lineup won’t be a offensive liability.
