I wonder if the release of Robinson gets us back under the luxury tax threshold? I would assume it does. Tarpley will get the MLB minimum... According to Cots, the Yanks were never even close to the luxury tax line. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1ai3Wo4UVZbUFtEEOnVEUwBgh2H45wwNe4nd6bXPAvRQ/pubhtml#Make sure you click on the tax at the top right that says "Yankees Tax Tracker 2018" as that uses the AAV numbers used for luxury tax calculation. The other tab is straight salary, which is not used for tax computation.

Well good. Someone posted on here a day or two ago that we were $10K over. I took it for granted that the post was correct...No biggie...

Boone suspended one game for his antics the other night. No word on whether that young and not ready for the big leagues ump was sent back to the minors.

I thought the deal with Lentz was that he’s filling in for the rest of the season because a member of that crew had surgery.

You’d have to think that if he’s gotten this opportunity he must have been evaluated as having pretty good umpiring skills in the minors. Now he can add the Boone family baseball ball/strike calling on field seminar to his resume...

Friday night was a good learning experience for him.

Woe is us. Injuries galore, right? On the other hand, where would this team be without some unexpected contributions?
Andujar Torres Romine Hicks Holder Walker (finally, it hurt to type that and I still don’t trust him) Voit
There are other contributors, but mostly at expected levels of play...

question for someone who knows about the Yankees farm....Cashman got a RH pitcher named Michael King in a trade with Miami for Garret Cooper and Caleb Smith...King has since moved rapidly up the ladder from Tampa to Scranton....has anyone seen him, and if so, would you project his future?

I'm not a prospect expert, but I found a recent article on Michael King:

thanks, kaybli…….he is certainly on a sharp career curve...I will quit lamenting the loss of Gerrit Cooper at first base.....even more so now that Voit has been hitting....sounds like King has a chance to maybe a #3 or so...….

It would be nice to see him get a good look in ST next year. It may be only a trade showcase, or who knows?...
