When do they finally pull the plug on Gleyber? They're great at depleting young players values, why not another. Torres, Sanchez, Bird, Andujar, Frazier, what a complete flop the homegrown promotions have been after the initial uptick - they're lucky they can still contend while being so poor at producing young talent. What gives us any faith Volpe and/or Peraza will be different? True enough maize. Pretty sad. Good to see ya though! Happy Easter! |

I hoping going Baltimore would kick start the Yanks lineup, but it has exposed it for what it is. Just awful. No different from last season. So happy I'm not a beat writer and having to listen to Boone tells us how many good AB's his team had today. On the other hand, O's pitching is much better than it has been.

Torres, Sanchez, Bird, Andujar, Frazier, what a complete flop the homegrown promotions have been after the initial uptick - It looks bad, but Torres became infatuated with himself after a season of swatting super charged baseballs, several of them pop ups out of small ball parks (Baltimore in particular). He never really profiled as a middle infielder to me. I thought he should have been ticketed for third, and said so back in his MiLB days. His body is all wrong, and his head isn’t in the game enough. The injuries to Bird, Andujar, and Frazier were just bizarre. There were several alarms Sanchez set off in MiLB that he was going to have attitude issues going forward and would struggle at catcher. Sometimes a situation is just doomed for failure, and it’s no one’s fault. We simply must hope the next batch is better. Yet, I wonder already about Volpe at SS (again, I’m thinking 3rd base), I’m not sure about Jasson nor Florial. And the Yanks are surely going to be tempted by Well’s bat and consider keeping him at catcher when they have more natural options. Only time will tell… |
