Cashman needs to search high and low for some more career .200 hitters who actually can hit .200. lol, there's a lot of NY sports writers that wished they came up with that line!

The great communicator may want to communicate with his relievers:
From the NY Post:
"Aaron Boone said there was no thought of going to Luetge for Odor.
“That was [Loaisiga] all the way there,’’ the manager said. “That was the matchup I wanted. I’ll take him all day long. … He’s one of the best relievers in the game.”
But Loaisiga said the inning had taken a toll on him.
“With the walks, I’m not doing myself a favor,’’ Loaisiga said through an interpreter of his workload in the eighth. “They make it into a long inning and you start getting tired. I’ve definitely got to work on that.”
This is disheartening. One single and Cortes, Jr. is done. Luetge has been death to lefty batters. Even casual fans seem to know that Loaisiga has not been lights out this season, and he was likely overused last season. How about getting six innings out of the starters, and using three relievers every other day? Granted, you're not going to win when you don't score, but why not have Rizzo DH today? Why is that not a day off, like it used to be?
It's almost better for Ba-Boone when players are hurt; of course, then Cashman. would just bring in Jonathan Davis.
By the way, Tyler Wade has six hits in 19 at bats for a .316 batting average. Gleyber Torres has five hits in 28 at bats for a .179 batting average. Wade is a much better defensive shortstop, second baseman, third baseman, left fielder, right fielder, and centerfielder than Gleyber Torres. Torres should have been traded this off-season. With DJ LeMahieu, Torre should not be starting, and Torres is not a utility player because he can only play one defensive position with any proficiency. At least with Wade, you knew his role, and he was starting to excel in it.

It was obvious that Loaisiga was wearing down when Chirinos kept fouling off those two strike pitches, obvious to everyone but Boone. He pulls relievers all the time, including Chapman but left the gassed Loaisiga in there.

We don’t want to fall behind and play catch up again all year…
