That was so miserable that I'm sticking around to hear Boone's press conference. Because an angry Boone is funny to me.

Boone: "They pitched us really tough today"
Why not go to Luetge?
"That was all Loaisiga. That's the matchup I wanted"
Why is this offense going to be different from last year?
"We're made up a little differently. We got a few guys swinging it well. Gonna bet on the track record of our guys. I don't get emotional over a few games."
Was Gleyber's bunt called from the bench?
"No but I love the idea. If he gets it passed the pitcher its a hit."

Cashman needs to search high and low for some more career .200 hitters who actually can hit .200.

Yes. The track record of Locastro, Gallo, Gonzalez, Higashioka, Trevino, Torres and Hicks gives one hope of better things to come.

I hoping going Baltimore would kick start the Yanks lineup, but it has exposed it for what it is. Just awful. No different from last season. So happy I'm not a beat writer and having to listen to Boone tells us how many good AB's his team had today. On the other hand, O's pitching is much better than it has been. And they did nothing to fix it in the off season. Loosing two out of three to the O's would be pretty bad.

How do you spend this much money and end up with hitting this bad. I understand having bad line ups when you spend little money. But we spend tons of money.

BRAVO!!!
New York Yankees pitcher Nestor Cortes threw an immaculate inning Sunday, striking out three Baltimore Orioles in the fourth inning with just nine pitches.
Cortes, 27, first struck out Anthony Santander with a called strike followed by a foul ball and a foul tip caught by Yankees catcher Kyle Higashioka. Then, Cortes struck out Ryan McKenna and Robinson Chirinos with six more strikes, three swinging and three called

Watch it dome you are going to be guilty by association, associating with me.
Maybe we just have bad luck year after year. But I think, given what we are doing is not working (and its working worse not better recently) we should try something else. Maybe emphasizing hitting a bit more and pitching a bit less, emphasizing team speed and batting average rather than home runs and walking, might work better than what Cashman stresses.
I have no illusion we will do that. And in honesty, given how poorly the yankee farm system is at turning out fast high average hitters its not even possible for us to pursue that strategy. We are probably too high spending and win too much to get the type of hitters that I suggest.
And cashman does not stress this in free agency. He goes after pitchers and home run hitters. To me that strategy is not working.

The ship jumping on social media is unreal Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I'm not jumping ship but people are sick of the same story since 2020. 30 runs in 10 games in pretty putrid. Still not giving up hope that we can turn things around since our pitching seems to be good.

Still not giving up hope that we can turn things around since our pitching seems to be good. Whoever thought the Yankees pitching would be better than the offense? Now they have to go to Detroit a place they usually struggle. Hopefully Cole can be better. I still think Boone isn't able to manage this team himself and is getting orders or something. It says a lot when they got rid of a bunch of people being in new players and have the same problems. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
