I could have sworn we already played Toronto this season. In fact, the only team in our division we have not played yet is Tampa Bay. Let's see, four teams won at least 91 games in the American League East last season, but the best teams are "out west"? Somehow, even when the Yankees are winning, they somehow really aren't unless they play a different schedule than the one assigned to them. The Angels lead the west at 15-9. Seattle, Houston. Oakland are lingering near .500, and Oakland is unlikely to avoid losing 90-95, while Texas is a dud. I don’t see a super division out there. Unless maybe they just bunt better than the East. If one thinks KC, Baltimore, and Detroit are good teams, so be it.  Only Baltimore is in the East Division. You never mentioned the Central Division, so neither did I… Sometimes I feel like Dick Smothers trying to talk to Tommy. Like Hardy talking to Laurel, like maybe Ralph Kramden to Ed Norton… I said we beat bad teams. Others disagreed. |
