Well, that's really all you can ask, so I'll not rag him for that at bat. Still want him on some other team, though. Here's the play:
Thanks, kay. That was a nice play.

That was quick. What a disappointment after taking the first two games.

Rays: 2 hits, 4 runs. Yanks: 9 hits, 2 runs.

Shockingly Schmidt comes in to face the Rays 2-3-4 hitters and retires them all. Great work Boone. Awful bullpen management. Boone's not much of a genius when he doesn't have a stacked pen.

The Rays have 4 runs on 2 hits. Typical Rays. But remember, it's all about hits.

Boone's bullpen management was questionable as usual, but we gotta hit better, especially when it counts.

That was quick. What a disappointment after taking the first two games. I just took Greta outside to pee before the commercial and by the time I walked in the door Michael Kay was signing off. That was the quickest half inning ever.

Deciding runs a walk and HBP.

Boone's bullpen management was questionable as usual, but we gotta hit better, especially when it counts. We outhit the Rays 4.5 to 1, and that's what makes baseball worth watching, remember?

Boone's bullpen management was questionable as usual, but we gotta hit better, especially when it counts. Yep, still the Yanks split a 4 game series at place that has been difficult for them to play in. The Rays pick no ground during their biggest series of the season.

Clarke Schmidt with a solid 1-2-3 inning. Does this mean gets sent to AAA again?

Hicks has an OPS+ of 73, which is exactly what Tyler Wade has for the Angels. Except, Wade can play any position except pitcher and catcher with representative defense all-around and makes about 9 million dollars per year less and has a clue on the base paths. Oh, Wade is also five and a half years younger.
The obsession with Hicks is unfathomable. Trevino should be catching two of every three games; he's better all-around defensively than Higgy, and he's hitting above his weight.
When LeMahieu is not hitting, this team slows to a crawl to score runs without Stanton in the lineup. It would help if IKF would go on another hot streak. Torres and Miggy starting to resemble themselves as rookie infielders.

Clarke Schmidt with a solid 1-2-3 inning. Does this mean gets sent to AAA again? It happened to Sears, although that one made more sense.
