Even Hicks contributes with a single. That means three more weeks of starting; it's like seeing Punxsutawney Phil. For a small town, Punxsutawney has churned out its share of notable athletes. Chuck Daley coached at Punxsutawney High. College football HOF coach (Harvard and Amherst) Lloyd Jordan is from there. Former IFer, coach and manager Billy Hunter, who just turned 94, is a Punxsutawnian, as are former MLB catchers John Mizerock and Devin Mesoraco. Plus Phil of course. |

Buxton is a guy I wanted the Yankees to try to get, but he just cannot stay healthy. MVP level talent but always hurt. What the Yankees hoped they were getting with Hicks. He's like Hicks in that he can't stay on the field, but unlike him in that he's a solid player. |
