Their talking about Thurman Munson on YES, who would have turned 75 today. RIP. My all-time favorite players are Thurman Munson, Donny Mattingly, and Derek Jeter. In that order. I guess mine is Mickey, Babe, and many tied for third… okay, Donnie is third by an eyelash with many tied for fourth… |

Over that time frame, they're my favorites too, maybe in a slightly revised order (but not enough to matter) and squeezing Mo in there somewhere. Of course I am required by law to always have Mantle and Ford at 1 and 1A, but that's a function of age, like The Beatles always at the top of my music pile. |

Mattingly Nettles Jeter Those are my top 3, there's about 100 players tied for 4th, I've liked a lot of Yankees over the years. |

I had to investigate, and another player who turned 75 today is Don Money, a pretty fair third baseman for a long time with the Phillies, Pirates and Brewers. Amazingly he's still in the game as a player development official with Milwaukee. Great glove man.
