Yup thats the key. They will come out in full force to swarm the bait. You have to just let them do their thing for a few days. Eventually they will die out.
I used to be terrified and strangely fascinated about army ants when I was a kid.  I liked leaf cutter ants as a kid:  Yea leaf cutter ants are cute compared to army ants. I used to always read books from the library on army ants and be terrified. Stories of them engulfing and tearing apart cows. Scared my 8 year old self silly. |

Sure didn’t want to step in that stuff… And there was a Twighlight Zone once where people fell through soft openings in their walls and disappear into unfriendly places. I was sure there was one of those in my room, and it moved from place to place… |
