Ringo gets a bad rap from drummer fans, but he is underrated in my opinion. Ringo never practiced playing drums unless there was a band to play with and a song to accompany - his philosophy of percussion is rather unique in that sense. Lennon said they rarely told Ringo what they had in mind for a song and he was never out of time. Not a drum afficianado, but few drummers have as many songs that you can recognize from the drumming pattern as Ringo. Also, supposedly you could set your metronome to Ringo's beat. Don't forget guys, Renfield has some skills with the guitar!:

So without bothering you too much, chiyankee , what are your top 5 Zeppelin songs? Maybe I can add some of them to my phone. Black Dog is my all time favorite. It's hard to pick just four more but here's some great ones: Heartbreaker No Quarter Trampled Underfoot Fool in the Rain Here's five non mainstream tunes that I like The Lemon Song I Can't Quit You (The Coda version, although the version on the first album is good too) That's the Way Down by the Seaside Ten Years Gone |

The ball Reynolds just hit would have been a one and done in NY… Which matters why? Because I wanted the Yanks to trade for him last winter. I still would like to get him at the trade deadline… Sadly, Pittsburgh is hinting at improving, I wonder if they’d sell… |

Kinda butchered that song. Hadn't played it for a while when the luthier wanted me to try it out the guitar before sending it to his customer. Thought that song would give us a decent idea of what the guitar sounded like and how it played-- which in my opinion was excellent on both counts. |
