I think Cole is talented enough and smart enough that he can figure out a way to at least minimize his woes at Fenway. I don't mean to beat down on a guy on whose arm so much of the Yankees' fortunes ride. Maybe he figures it out by his next start there.
My old-time baseball friend idolized Christy Mathewson. He also detested Joe Tinker because Tinker apparently owned Matty. He could get quite passionate on the subject 70 years after the fact. Again, nothing new under the sun.

I think Cole is talented enough and smart enough that he can figure out a way to at least minimize his woes at Fenway. I don't mean to beat down on a guy on whose arm so much of the Yankees' fortunes ride. Maybe he figures it out by his next start there. My old-time baseball friend idolized Christy Mathewson. I madder last night than I should have been too. I've been dealing with a 401K rollover from previous employer and they've been jerking be around. I was going through emails with them and doing some research, while I was watching the game and following this game thread. I was growing more irritated as the night went on, just give me my money!!!! I tend to me harder on Cole because he's so talented. Even when he gives up 5 runs, there's long stretches where he dominates hitters. He so good but it would help if he didn't let little distractions bother him so much. |

I'm harder on Cole too precisely because my expectations are higher than they are for any other pitcher on the staff. Well I can remember being annoyed at one point or another with pitchers going back to Bob Turley. It never lasts. |

They should know somebody who could light a fire under your former employer. |

In a wicked twist, I was surprised to receive medical cards from AmeriGas this year. I just threw them away when I got them. I mean, I retired from there in 2017. Then I noticed I was getting mail from the blues. I had figured it was advertisements. But I opened one up and found out that some of the medical institutions are still billing the Blues through AmeriGas and the blues are PAYING the bills! I always make sure I supply my most recent medical information when I go to get services performed, but apparently old information doesn’t die easily. And apparently someone at AmeriGas thinks I still work there. It’s not legal to carry multiple coverages, but I’m just going to play dumb. If I bring this to anyone’s attention, I’m liable to cause a snafu in my regular insurance. The other odd thing was that I got a letter from Medicare once that accused me of having double coverage through XYZ Company that I had never heard of. When I told the official I had never worked at XYZ, he quickly apologized and said he’d take care of it. I haven’t signed anything or paid anything through AmeriGas in 5 years. No wonder they’ve had to let over 50% of their staff go and closed all 900+ stores. I guess it all comes down to poor leadership at the top… |

According to plan sponsor, they need the distribution paper work from all the members before they can issue payments. Sound to dubious to me, but we're only waiting for one more member before this all gets closed. Of course, if the market was killing it and making money, like if did in 2020 & 2021, I'd say "take your time!" |
