The TV series "Batman" was a phenomenon when it came on the air in 1966. So popular it was on twice a week. It was really funny in the early days. But it fizzled out quickly and within two years it was off the air. Not enough Julie Newmar. Lee Meriwether wasn't bad either. I loved Batman's tender concern for the women villains.

The broadcasts are so much livelier when O'Neill is on.

A whole bunch of weak contact but only one out.

Throw that fastball inside, no way Votto catches up to it.
Well, I wrote that before that base hit and run scored.

I don't know if they still do it, but once a year they used to open the house used for stately Wayne Manor to the public. It's in Pasadena and you can actually see it from the 210 Freeway. It's almost disappointing to go in and realize the Batpole isn't in there. But it is a beautiful home.
A mandatory stop for all our visitors was the Batcave. Or at least the spot used from which the Batmobile emerged. It's part of Griffith Park and at the base of where you can see the Hollywood sign.

The only pitch Votto could have hit was a ball low and away. That is getting greedy, trying to get a double play, when you've got a guy set up for a strikeout.

Don't say running out of gas, Michael Kay!
At least you're keeping your sense of humor, rizz.

Another example of pulling guys up too soon without enough exposure in the minors to ensure they are back to normal. Loisiaga gave up three hits in one inning in his last AAA appearance. What did they think MLB hitters would do?

Here's Loaisiga. First game back. Is it too much to ask for a scoreless inning? Spoiler: It was too much to ask.

What did they think MLB hitters would do? I thought the Yankees brass was smart enough to realize that but apparently not.

It's either that or start chanting on my knees and flagellating myself in a dark room with candles and incense.
