I don't know if he's a bad guy or anything like that, but there is notably less enthusiasm among the Yankees for Carpenter home runs than for any other player on the team. No chest bumps, no big smiles, just rather perfunctory high fives and stoic reactions. It also seems as if he stays at the end of the dugout and doesn't mix much with the other players. Maybe he's just shy, or maybe I'm only seeing it at the wrong time, but to me it looks like he isn't welcome with the Cool Kids. The reports were he easily fitted into the clubhouse and provided veteran leadership with humility. It may be that Judge's season has muted an otherwise amazing comeback story. Either that, or he has been told he's on the trading block for a starting pitcher. I really like his at bats and believe he could be huge in the playoffs from the left side.

I didn't know Montas had an injury scare. Yea, he's coming back from shoulder inflammation. Inflammation? Try BC Powder to get you back to where you want to be.

Yeah, and after my screed there he is standing between Rizzo and Judge. So never mind.

I think he's very like professional and thats just not really his type of thing to show animated celebrations etc. I don't think they would get rid of him Donaldson looks lost, wtf knows if Stanton will be 100% the rest of the season and Marwin/IKF give almost no HR power. I remember Marwin hitting quite a few HR in Houston, but he isn't the same player anymore.

Gallo breathes a sigh of relief as he does not have to bat that inning and probably for the game.

We were born and raised within an hour of each other. Duck hunting, fried catfish, crawfish boils, cracklins, and Swamp Pop music. My brother Michael played against him in American Legion ball. My brother Bobby was at University of Southwestern Louisiana (now University of Louisiana at Lafayette or U-La-La) at the same time in the late 60s early 70s. South Louisiana boy done good.

Gator is still my all time favorite Yankee starting pitcher.
