Dwight "Bo" Lamar was indeed at USL at the same time as both of my eldest brothers. My brother Michael always claims he was a better shooter, and I actually would not argue against it. Michael was a multiple first team all-state shooting guard whose favorite NBA player was Sam Jones. Michael spent several years as a hustler, not unlike the movie "White Men Can't Jump." Well Sam Jones is a great role model. That beautiful banked jump shot. I saw it hundreds of times. Always nice to have a hustler in the family. When I coached basketball, I preached the utility of the bank shot and the usefulness of the square on the backboard, which is there for a reason. Whenever in a shooting slump, I advocated re-honing mechanics by practicing bank shots, close in to begin then farther out. Touch can be taught. |

I do think Judge's ability to not only play CF but play it well is being overlooked in the MVP discussion. It's huge been huge for the Yankees that he's been able to switch from RF to CF and back to RF so easily. It sure gives Boone a lot of lineup options. |

I do think Judge's ability to not only play CF but play it well is being overlooked in the MVP discussion. It's huge been huge for the Yankees that he's been able to switch from RF to CF and back to RF so easily. It sure gives Boone a lot of lineup options. I read an argument earlier someone was like all he does is hit hrs. He leads in like 6 batting categories and his ops is over 1000 after 102 games. Plus defense. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
