this trade will backfire. We needed pitching and the Yanks just subtracted one of there most reliable pitchers. Tallion, Sevy, Cortes are all on innings limit this year. Sevy is already hurt. German can't be counted on and really shouldn't even be on this team, he should of been traded for Bader.

It does not make any sense to trade for a guy who can't play and is gone after this year. For a starter we are short on. I don't understand this.

I would have preferred that Cashman just have stood pat after Benintendi and the trade of Gallo. I do not get letting go of Monty, if you were not going to give Waldichuk a shot and then packaged him in a trade.
Did Cashman have a stroke or blood clot that affected the oxygen supply to his egg-shaped, hairless head?

Gilbert looks like he should be pitching against Taiwan in the LL World Series… what is he, 11 years old? … He could have been Beaver Cleaver’s pal on the show…

Both players are free agents after the 2023 season, but I agree with you, I wouldn't have made this trade and that was before I found out Bader was injured.

I was enthusiastic about Taillon’s acquisition and I won’t abandon him this quickly. He’s been to hell and back with his health. I think he may be fighting through a stretch with a tired or somewhat dead arm. If anybody has the fight in him to snap back, Taillon is the one… Onsay tgat as he gives up the solo shot, 3-0…
Raleigh hit that one clear to North Carolina…

They're really scrambling to try to make sense of this. Montgomery would have been the fourth starter and that almost always comes into play at some point in the post-season. At the very least he would have been a great long option in the pen. There has to be something at work here that nobody is talking about.
