Apparently, only Cashman is smart enough to understand his moves. This team is not winning a World Series unless everything goes right during the playoffs. Including Houston getting knocked out early. |

I agree with A-Rod on the first three. As for the latter, had Cashman signed Verlander, the Yankees would not have needed Castillo and would have robbed Houston of their number one starter. The Yankees would not have parted with Montgomery, unless he was part of a trade to get Castillo. |

There's a lot to rip on Cashman for but I thought their offer to Judge this past off season was more than fair. Credit Judge for turning it down and having an MVP caliber season.
The only way to get Castillo was offer Volpe in the deal. Would anyone here do that?

Yes I would, no guarantee Volpe is the real deal, plus they still have Peraza whose been knocking on the door before he got hurt. Much better chance of making it to the WS with Castillo. |
