I'm surprised how bad Montes has been. He fooled me, I thought he was better than this. I don't wanna make excuses, but he was coming off some shoulder issues and an IL stint. Then he made a start or two before being traded, all while having his MIL's funeral and had a long period between starts when he came to Yanks in STL - so I do think some of this is rust getting back into things. He threw pretty solidly in BOS start, hopefully he can get on a consistent schedule and find some traction. Obviously, he's not alone here on the roster having a tough time currently, nothing going right right now for the club. What do they say about having too much pitching? There's no such thing, and we gave away Monty. Also, Cabrera has some flare to him at SS - I hope he's here for a decade playing all over the diamond. You can see Monte's strike out stuff but he certainly needs more consistency. |

This team is in meltdown mode. I am beginning to think there was a incident that caused dissension in the club house somewhere along the way. Its all of them not just a couple of guys.
