There's few Yankees I hate watching hit more than Donaldson. I wish he was free agent this winter.

Since he hit his 60th home run, Judge has seen only 26% of pitches in the strike zone (per the Rangers' broadcast). You know, with a few exceptions, that's not something Maris had to deal with as he approached the record. Not that anybody was grooving one, but they challenged him and most opposing pitchers weren't afraid of ignominy if they were the victim. I remember Bill Monbouquette of Boston saying he was pulling for Maris and Milt Pappas of Baltimore telling Roger before Game 154 that he was throwing only fastballs (Maris hit number 59 in that game.) |

YES just showed a overhead shot of both ballparks in Arlington. I've been to a game in the older park and thought it was nice. It was in September, so I didn't have to put up with the brutal heat, so I can see why they built this one with a retractable roof. July and August can be brutal, but I always thought that could be a home field advantage; however, I think the Rangers decided it was a reason free agents didn't want to sign and didn't want to stay. |

In his ten previous seasons Martin Perez has worked to a 4.71 (+96) ERA. This season 2.93 (+136) at age 31… by far his best season ever…

Both these teams playing like they have a plane to catch. The series they played in New York was low scoring, too. Only ten runs total. |

Those temps are only about 4-6 over what I’ve been suffering through the past 5 years, often into October… |

I was thinking if Yankees have Peraza, Cabrera and IKF on the roster for 2023, that's a ton of versatility.

Before they became the Astros and moved to the Astrodome, the Houston Colt .45s played at Colt Stadium and that place was a sauna. There were massive swarms of mosquitoes everywhere and rattlesnakes were occasionally discovered in hidden corners of the park. It was a horrible place. |
