It has to be tough on some of the fans too, sitting in that heat to watch a ballgame in the middle of the summer. Before they became the Astros and moved to the Astrodome, the Houston Colt .45s played at Colt Stadium and that place was a sauna. There were massive swarms of mosquitoes everywhere and rattlesnakes were occasionally discovered in hidden corners of the park. It was a horrible place. lol, a wonderful time at the old ballpark for the entire family. |

July and August can be brutal, but I always thought that could be a home field advantage; however, I think the Rangers decided it was a reason free agents didn't want to sign and didn't want to stay. Those temps are only about 4-6 over what I’ve been suffering through the past 5 years, often into October… All that damn gravel you have in your yard. Probably raised the temperature five degrees. |

Humidity is awful. |

The Concrete Jungle. When you play golf in south Louisiana or Houston, you need two or three gloves, because they will be soaked with sweat after a few holes. A change of socks and shirt at the turn is a good habit as well. |
