The cleveland series and our injuries put us in a bad place against a rested Houston team that faced minimal opposition in the play offs. Game three against Cleveland when we blew a two run lead in the 9th really really hurt us. Doesn't look like Carpenter was ready to come back. Tough when you're out for 2 months and come straight into the playoffs.

Love Carpenter but he's just not to form. I'd have pitch hit for him there. I get seniority but he's been a K machine since coming back. Let him pinch hit when we have leads as you slowly get him back to form. Oswaldo would have been the better call there.

Can we give Carpenter a break they gave him no minor league starts, a few days at a simulated rehab site which isn't a real game, then 2 AB in the ALDS 3 games apart. |
