Oh my. That's beyond terrible. They got 5 hits in several of the Cleveland games which I guess is less than 6 Ignoring the Stanton decision (one of the worse we have made ever as he never produces remotely what we paid for him and we will be paying a long time) we choose to invest in expensive pitchers not hitters. Hopefully they will use chapman and brittan's salary to get some one who can hit 300. But not likely. Cashman sees little value in doing so. There was only 11 .300 hitters in the entire major leagues and the Yankees had one of them. These guys that you want the Yankees to get aren't out there.

I feel a special kind of sadness after Yankee losses. It doesn’t linger for long, but I carry it through the next day. This one hurt. Now our backs are against the wall. We need to return the favor of the sweep in NY… Me too I suspected we were going to be here. I hoped that we could get lucky and it be 1-1. One mistake, or maybe more plate discipline and we would have won today. We swung at a lot of pitches well outside the strike zone.

There are great position players up for free agency every year. When is the last time we got one. Instead of wasting fortunes on people like chapman. We had discussions on the players we passed up this year.

Like i feel positive they could win all the ny games but at the same time you wonder if Boone will then use game 6 as a rest game since they still have 7 left if they lose. I think each year that I am not going to expend emotional energy on them, but I do. sigh.

You don't bring in Schmidt in the 6th inning there tied 1-1 when you knew Verlander was out of the game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I still think our basic problem is not pitching but offensive.

It's also annoying they answered that Bergman hr right away but never got any more runs past that.

Our number 3 and 4 starters faced their number 1 and 2 and the games were still close. Now our number 1 and 2 will face their number 3 and 4. This series is far from over!

Not a good look for Boone IMO.

It might be true but Boone can't make excuses like that.

Everyone see's his all too constant pitching mistakes.

We've had chances to take both games, although fortunate we even scored two runs yesterday thanks to Valdez's fielding and throwing blunder. Got to get game 3 and 4 and make this thing a series. We gotta stop with the press conference remarks bitching about HOU, whether it's Cashman last few years whining about 2017, now Sevy/Higgy bitching about Bregman's HR. Stop, nobody cares about exit velocity of hard hit balls when the results are the same. We had two games we could have won, maybe stop trying to swing out of our shoes all the time on breaking balls, while watching fastballs down the middle cruise by. Nut up and get it done.
