That is obviously not true, some care a lot about it. It always drives me crazy when someone gets an out in a critical situation to hear they hit it hard. Who cares, it's an out. Hit the ball soft where there is no player (I understand that it may not be possible for players to have any control where the ball is going although somehow they did it in the glory years of base ball, maybe they were just lucky).

It's obviously important to hit the ball hard, and we all know sometimes it gets an unlucky result. You don't need to complain about it though in postgames. We saw vs CLE bloops galore falling in for hits vs Yankee pitchers, it's just part of the game. Say hey we missed location a bit, got beat, tip your cap and move on.

Our number 3 and 4 starters faced their number 1 and 2 and the games were still close. Now our number 1 and 2 will face their number 3 and 4. This series is far from over! Yea I was just going to say that. The team plays different when Cole and Nestor pitch I dunno what it is, but they do.

We've had chances to take both games, although fortunate we even scored two runs yesterday thanks to Valdez's fielding and throwing blunder. Got to get game 3 and 4 and make this thing a series. We gotta stop with the press conference remarks bitching about HOU, whether it's Cashman last few years whining about 2017, now Sevy/Higgy bitching about Bregman's HR. Stop, nobody cares about exit velocity of hard hit balls when the results are the same. We had two games we could have won, maybe stop trying to swing out of our shoes all the time on breaking balls, while watching fastballs down the middle cruise by. Nut up and get it done. AGREED!!! Good Post.
SO DAMN FUNNY & SAD--Boone: It wasn't the roof, it is the lack of getting enough HITS and to stop swinging out of our shoes (Maize quote)...
Yankees, in 2-0 ALCS hole, head home where aces await, but task doesn't change: 'We got to score'

We've been behind 2-0 before. Did we quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor?

We've been behind 2-0 before. Did we quit when the Germans bombed Pearl Harbor? When the Mexicans started the war of 1812? When the Indians had an uprising just because we were blatantly invading their territory? When Steinbrenner traded Buhner? When we couldn’t win the war in Vietnam? Oh… yeah. Let’s not include that one…
