Giants fans must really hate ownership right now almost having Judge and Correa and instead you get Mitch Hangier. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I wonder what the Giants saw in Correa's physical that made them change their minds?

Correa signing equals the trading of A-Rod. Giants couldn't get it done, Red Sox couldn't get it done.

This is so true. My phone has been blowing up from my friends/relatives from Queens all morning.

It's simple really. SF is all hippy dippy organic. They probably don't have trash cans (to bang on) inside their dugouts. Thus, Correa was all ... nah. BTW, this joke ignores the fact he played in Minneapolis last year ... which does have trash cans ... because it's super dirty.

It’s the way contracts work. Donaldson is being paid for what he used to be, a butthead that could hit, instead of what he is now, a butthead that can’t. In a few seasons, Correa will be getting paid not to hit. It’s all good, because it’s all bad…

Wasn't Wade a big part of DoMe's famous six-year plan? Yes. As of course was a young fellow named Nunez a project MVP. I love Dome’s optimism, I really do. And he does like to hold, hold, hold, protect our YOUTH… For the most part anyone we have in the minors is quickly dead to me if we can gain a quality big leaguer to fill a need on the roster. I’m hopeful that the kids can fill positions and meet expectations, but if they’re gone, they’re gone. Superstar Mateo is still fast and a great prospect, but he’s surely got a very bad case of prospect fatigue by now… Since LF looks like a bleak position right now, I’d be tickled pink if Cabrera or Florial got a shot this year, but if Pittsburgh would take those two (and a MiLB pitcher) in exchange for Reynolds, I’d do an Ozzie Smith back flip for the deal… "Tequila, they are once again making fun of our proposed six-year plan. You and I need to hit the drawing board again for a new six-year plan starting in 2023. For the last 13-years the Yanks have NOT won the WS = BECAUSE they have not made a WS appearance in 13-years (giggling)...go figure (what a great 13-year plan). At least with our six-year plan WE would make two WS appearances.
Wade was only part of plan, for the first 3-months 2022 unless he performed. If he didn't perform up to Tequila standards, then after 3-months to bench or back to Minor Lieagues and a Top Prospect takes his spot, etc. etc. etc."
Yes, WE MUST protect our TOP PROSPECTS for they are our future!!!
So far to this date, I do not see the Yankees going to the WS in 2023 (but my opinion could change).
I think this year we need a minor rebuilding, to workout some kinks, give some Top Prospects ample playing time (a chance to perform) and to ensure this team jells together for their 2024 run.
On the negative side we still have Cash & Boone as the LEADERS (ah SHIT!!!); might be keeping no-hit Donaldson/Hicks; might keep no/lack of hustle Torres; etc. We also missed our on two cheap FA'S that could have helped our team. But you got to LOVE Cash's Now 14-Year Plan = Still no WS in view???!!!
Let's see what the remaining off season holds for us and what Spring Training surprises we might see???!!!"
Alright Tequila, to the drawing Board; get the Chalk and lets start...no, no, no don't eat the chalk"

Dome after last year ended and what the Mets just did this off season... the Yankees can't afford any rebuild at this point another year of not making the World Series isn't going to be good. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

The only thing I guess in the Yankees favor is some of these teams won't be able to beat up on the basement dwellers in their division too much since less games vs them.

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Yes, sooner or later FANS will get fed up with US not going to the WS. But we do NOT have to spend like what the Mets did to get to the WS -- Just some affordable FA's (Two- Japenese Pitcher and Benni. These two earn much less than what we are paying Donaldson, Hicks, Torres, ) and give our Top Prospects a chance to perform (especially on the leftside of the infield). We could go to the WS with an affordable payroll.

I don’t root for payroll numbers, fiscal responsibility, or prospect opportunities. I like W-L record and I prefer an exciting team to watch with likable players performing at a high level…

Plus Bobby Bonillas money lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk For the first time since roughly the Christy Mathewson era under John McGraw, the Yankees are the poor relative among New York baseball teams.
