I still feel we don't even have a real feel of how much of a threat the giants actually are we don't even know their offer and all these leaks seem to be Yankee based only. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk I agree...but if the Giants didn't make an offer that means Judge only has one offer on the table. Why is it taking him so long to decide? I think the biggest thing here is the NL west is so competitive that they can get judge and still finish 3rd years after year. Not that the AL East isn't competitive but the Yankees are usually in the top 2 teams they literally own the central and other than the Astros they are good vs the west too. Even with all their holes they are at worst the 3rd best team in the entire Al most years which is usually good enough for a playoff spot. The giants on the other hand a few years ago they were better but since the Padres retooled, the Braves got better, and the brewers are more consistent they are like a mid pack team in the nl at best? So that's why it's hard for me to beleive the whole break the bank for judge thing he doesn't bring you from 7th best team to the nl to yearly championship contention. Ken Rosenthal today mentioned that there are a couple of "mystery teams" involved in the Judge market, but it seems like the Yankees and Giants are the two lead dogs in the hunt.

And we don't even know if the Giants are even that close to the Yankees offer the Yankees might be biding against themselves at this point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

An unnamed former home run champion shared his thoughts on why Aaron Judge should choose the Yankees over the Giants courtesy of Bob Nightengale. According to him, Judge’s power swing is perfectly tailored for Yankee Stadium. Moving to a different team would mean that the outfielder would need to adjust his mechanics.
“Judge has to go back to the Yankees,” one former home run champion said. “His swing is molded for that short porch in right-center to the right-field foul pole. His swing is built for Yankee Stadium for sure. Any other place, he’ll have to make an adjustment.”
The same report from Nightengale reveals the current offers Aaron Judge has received from the Yankees and Giants. New York has already offered an eight-year deal worth between $288 to $304 million. San Francisco is expected to surpass that amount and go over $300 million for Judge. Either way, Judge will likely have the record for largest contract per year when he signs his new contract.
The Yankees are banking on Aaron Judge’s loyalty to the team to hopefully keep him around. If he does leave… it would be a brutal blow to the franchise, who will need to scramble to find their next franchise cornerstone.

Judge has learned how to take advantage of right field in Yankee Stadium, but he only has ten more career home runs at home than on the road: 115-105.

I don’t see him particularly handicapped by relocation. He’d probably start pulling the ball a bit more in some parks. If he continues to focus a bit more on barreling instead of swinging from the heels, that will help him no matter where he plays…

Aaron Judge just received a pallet of something called “the clear” at a location in SF. Good bye, Aaron! …😝

So, if Jeter could have hit on an incline, he would have hit homers like Judge.
