You almost sound empathetic for the Yanks and Steinbrenners, Kaybli. Who really cares about the price? The Steinbrenner and Cashman cheapskate act is growing very tiresome to me. The pay these ball players get is out of this world because the money the team owners make is out of the solar system. They just need to pay the man. Then they also need to pony up and pay enough to make the rest of the roster a powerhouse team. It’s still good that they want to supplement from the farm (which will hold costs down a bit more), but they need another ace for the starting rotation, and upgrades at other positions… Come on inger, I thought you knew me better than that. I couldn't care less about Hal's wallet. I only care about the price to the effect it has on signing other players for a competitive team. That’s why I said “almost”… But as Yankee fans we’re all being conditioned to accept this conservative route to success… Programming almost complete… |

You notice how his agents were sitting behind him in his interview last night? Probably to make sure he doesn't say too much one way or another. His charity event in NY is tonight so we will see if anything else leaks. |
