Trying to figure out who the eleven Yankee rookies were with a grand slam. They spotted us Mickey, Melky and Volpe. I remember both Judge and Shane Spencer doing it, and I know from reading that Gil McDougald did it in the 1951 World Series. Because he hit so many slams, I assumed Lou Gehrig did it and in fact he did. I looked up Joe D but he didn't. That's all I've got and I have to get back to life now. Anyway there's seven. Inger, if you have any files in a big Manila envelope in the crawlspace behind the root cellar, maybe you have the missing four. How about Matsui?

I don’t get rump slapping. I have never and will never slap a guy’s rump… It was big in the 60s, 70s, and 80s in basketball. I didn't appreciate it in bowling.

Did we all forget about...... MCBROOM?
Kaybli -- I couldn't find any games where McBroom had more than 3 RBIs. Are you sure about that one?

Its our first sweep of the season so its understandable you would forget the McBroom meme. You might be one of the only visitors to McBroom's game logs besides his mother.
McBroom Forever!

Pipps had called Spencer already. Back to eight. Shoot, but it’s back to nine. Matsui was chi’s add and came later… Playing a few hunches, one turned out -- Yogi Berra in 1947. So that's ten. Other hunches that didn't work out included Tony Lazzeri, Charlie Keller, Tom Tresh and Joe Pepitone.

A Jim Mason type…
