95 pitches after 5 innings. But, a third of those came in the first inning. Cole may talk his way into the sixth and be given the batter by batter treatment.

Will Cole make it to the sixth inning? 🎱 = seems doubtful… He's settled in, but I'd be surprised if Boone let him go six. Although Cole is the one Yankee pitcher allowed to throw 100 pitches.

Cole at 90 pitches through 4 1/3. He has these games once in a while where he can’t put hitters away, but he guts out 5-6 innings. We just need to hit Fleming. He’s not that good…

Six three-time MVPs. Four of them Hall of Famers. One a future Hall of Famer.
One a cheating PED abuser and liar.

At what point do the Yankees stop playing this guy?

Looks like Cole lost the argument. So frustrating. Maybe the single worst change in the game of the past 50 years, the downgrading of the starting pitcher.

Looks like Cole lost the argument. So frustrating. Maybe the single worst change in the game of the past 50 years, the downgrading of the starting pitcher. At this point, Nolan Ryan still had a good 150 pitches left in him…
