Boone is a idiot if he believes this shyt he is saying. I think he holds his own. Yet the 6 errors he’s made came after not making one for about 30 games or so to start the season. His fielding percentage is only .005 below average and his range factor falls slightly below average. He has to play with Doofus Torres as a DP partner. That doesn’t help. His bat really needs to pick up far more than his glove. Top 5 SS (defense only)? No. Top 12? Probably not. Maybe 15th. Add in the offense and he drops well down the ladder, maybe to the bottom seven. I’m still rooting for him, and it’s not his fault the Yanks pushed him to the majors too soon. I think he’ll be okay… eventually… Bit I’d rather see him at 2B. With his hitting woes he’s still played more games at SS than any other MLB this year. With Boone’s resting fetish you’d think he might get some days off… |

Picking the keys to this series, I would say it’s important for the Yankees to score against a very solid Seattle rotation. That rotation seems to be the biggest area where Seattle had an edge on the injured Yankee rotation.
Neither team burns up the base paths stealing, but Seattle is only 32/12 stealing bags this year to the Yanks 40/14.
The Yankees defense on the field is significantly better than Seattle’s and May give us an edge there.
The Yanks hit more HR, so if we can go long it would be a big help…
