Recent reporting had previously indicated trade interest in Burleson from multiple clubs, and Goold reaffirms the Yankees’ previously reported interest in Carlson. Goold adds that, in addition to Carlson, the Yankees have interest in Hicks, who has also drawn interest from the Rangers. Additionally, Goold notes that the market for Flaherty and Montgomery includes the Marlins, who have scouted Flaherty in person this trade season, while the Rays are noted to have interest in St. Louis’s available pitchers more generally.

I think the cardinals players are prob still the most likely to happen if they can do a similar trade like they did with the White Sox in 2017 where multiple players come over.

Prob not I agree just saying I think that's the most realistic thing to happen with all the info we have since Bellinger might not be available, candelario has 8 teams after him, and I'm guessing Cashman would do the St. Louis players over Grichuck if he could get hicks as part of the deal. Is there anyone you can even package him with that is any good on the Rockies? lol Like I said at least with the Cardinals I could see some kind of combination package, but I don't think the Rockies really have any other great players the Yankees would want. |
