Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Great. Pham would be another putrid-ass personality I’d be forced to root for. Why not see if Bonds, Sosa, A-Rod, Clemens will all comeback?…

Not that I think the Yankees should get Pham but I'm noticing a pattern everyone they are linked to right before or right after the trade their name isn't even tied as "close" or "were close" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Candelario is having a rather blah season for a career best and he’s already 29. He could (probably will) turn into a pumpkin. We’re kind of stuck with what we have unless something out of the blue just pops up…

Limitations? He has a 300 million dollar payroll to work with, more than anyone but the Mets. The problem is Cashman has bloated this roster with so many older, expensive players who are underachieving. Combine that with poor prospect development and you can see why the Yankees are the shape they're in. Like I said its just my speculation. We don't know if he has limitations or what. We only know what the media tells us. $265M payroll to be correct, but no one is complaining about Judge or Cole contracts...minus those contracts and they are under $200M. So its Cashman fault that the players are underachieving? Player development; I agree with, but do we really know if this is 100% Cashman's fault. Sure it falls under his umbrella so it his to be his fault I get it....just like corporate. Cashman is not the problem - Hal and company are the real problem. None of what we say or think is going to change anything plus everyone has there opinion. Bottom line is we're just fans who want the best for the team. What's there to speculate, it's right here. The Yankees payroll for tax purposes is 295 million, the second highest in the sport. That should be enough to field a playoff caliber team but it was Cashman who continues to rely on older players. It was Cashman who traded for Donaldson and tacked 25 million on to this year's payroll. It was Cashman who traded for the injured Montas, another 8 on this year's payroll. And so on, it never ends. It's hard to believe there's any Yankee fans out there that defend this guy, but I guess there is. legacy.baseballprospectus.com/compensation/cots/al-east/new-york-yankees/
