Something had to provoke this as we know Cashman is always not the fastest to react to anything. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk The Volpe/Wells chicken parm fiasco was a complete embarrassment to the organization Maybe that was the starting point?

Being ranked 28th in the league over a month now and barely top 20 overall something isn't working. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

“It has been well documented that I have been reluctant in the past to make changes to our coaching staff in the middle of a season,” said Cashman. “I am a big believer that successes and failures are collective efforts. However, I ultimately felt that a change was needed and that a new voice overseeing our hitting operations would give us the best chance to perform closer to our capabilities as we move forward into the second half of our season.
“I want to thank Dillon for all his efforts. He has a bright baseball mind that will continue to lead to a long and fruitful baseball career.”

It was Kevin Long as the issue, Cockrell, Thames, now Lawson....what remains the constant? We've willingly turned what was a young core a few years ago into an elderly, injury-prone roster, while the game of baseball is now emphasizing athleticism.
A fresh voice can help I guess, but the fresh voice more than likely should come at the top in the heirarchy. If the Yankees turn it around in 2nd half it's gonna be much more bc of 1. health, 2. a few trades, 3. some guys getting their heads out of their asses.

Cashman built a joke of a team. Boone is Cashman's puppet. $30 million superstars batting under .200 FIRE the hitting coach.

Cashman built a joke of a team. Boone is Cashman's puppet. $30 million superstars batting under .200 FIRE the hitting coach. Gotta start somewhere. Can def tell there was some kind of disconnect there. However gotta wonder if there is other layers to this?
