Inger is my recommendation for Yankees hitting coach position. He's more well known for his defense.

Inger is my recommendation for Yankees hitting coach position. Thanks, but I was a dead pull hitter that rarely even found the middle of the outfield. I don’t have the cred for these guys to listen to me, nor was I the kind of hitter I want the Yankees to be. Now, put a glove on my hand and I might be able to demonstrate that what I used to do is better than what Stanton and Bauers can do now. Maybe that would make them sit up and look/listen. Of course, these days I’d need a caddy to throw the ball back in… 😂 Maybe Cordero could do that for me. Of course, he’d have to learn to throw it straight. I think we’d be a LOT better if we’d return to our old practice of having switch hitters and enough lefty sticks around to be able to slot 4-6 lefty hitters in for starts vs. right handed pitching. I might be more qualified to advise Cashman and company than our hitters…

All right. I have in and listened, and I agree. Dump the analytics. Play baseball ⚾️.., that’s where it’s at, baby… How about someone that can combine both and the positives out of each concept? Does such a person exist? I would certainly have to believe so. If we don’t believe that, we would have to believe that all over 45- year olds have poor computer skills and lack the cognitive ability to put both together. I was skeptical of all of these “no practical experience” guys having success though. You have to have the on field chops to convince some one that you know something. Even a lifetime .250 hitter like Charlie Lau got George Brett and Hal McCrae to buy in…
