Boone the Obvious strikes again. Even so, the real Rodon has finally arrived. More than welcome, too. The certainly needed it after last night's debacle.

Nice to see a well-deserved hand for Rodon. Group hug.

Joe P never scheduled Duquesne, huh? Joe PA liked tough schedules. The first year they won the title they played Nebraska, Notre Dame and Alabama plus the usual east coast rivals, then Georgia in the Sugar Bowl. It was a lot more fun being an Independent. Regular series with the teams you named, plus Ohio State, USC, Miami, BYU etc. Of course it became very difficult to schedule when conferences began expanding. There were always some cupcakes like Navy or a bad MAC team. I hate the non-conference schedule now. Boring as Hell. We actually play Delaware for the first time ever this fall. That shouldn't happen. No credit if you win and disgraceful if you lose.

Even when Marino was there? Especially when Marino -- or Dorsett -- were there. They were actually good then. I remember Tony Dorsett well and wanted the Saints to get him, but Dallas swept in and took him away from Seattle with the second pick. Meanwhile, the Saints passed on future Hall of Famers and All-Stars, even AJ Duhe DE from LSU. Instead, they chose the forgettable Joe Campbell, who essentially after his rookie contract was out of football. Back then, I had understood Tony's last name rhymed with corset, rather than the hard two syllable Dor - Sett.

But, every now and then, Miami (of Ohio) or Troy upsets LSU, which leads to years of lamentations and immediate calls for firing the coach.

Pipps is right. I was napping. lol. Kaybli, not to be too personal, but do you ever do anything like go to bed around 11 and wake up around 6 or 7? Sometimes my sleep schedule becomes so goofy that it cycles into normalness. Besides for that, usually not.
I've been getting up at 5:30AM to go for walks though since its too hot to walk during the day right now.

Heck of a player though. We played you guys in either the Orange or Sugar Bowl the year Cappelletti won the Heisman and again a few years ago, but I don't think we've ever played each other during the regular season.

DJ should have just kept going home. When is the last time you've seen someone with LeMahieu's speed get out of a pickle?
