Higgy just hasn't got it. Teases us with a hot few weeks every year, but in the end, he's a .215 hitter. Ready to move on.

I remember Tony Dorsett well and wanted the Saints to get him, but Dallas swept in and took him away from Seattle with the second pick. Meanwhile, the Saints passed on future Hall of Famers and All-Stars, even AJ Duhe DE from LSU. Instead, they chose the forgettable Joe Campbell, who essentially after his rookie contract was out of football. Back then, I had understood Tony last name rhymed with corset, rather than the hard two syllable Dor - Sett. Yeah, he changed the pronunciation around his senior year I believe. Heck of a player though. We played you guys in either the Orange or Sugar Bowl the year Cappelletti won the Heisman and again a few years ago, but I don't think we've ever played each other during the regular season. Nope, LSU is 0-2 against Penn State in its history (1974 and 2009 seasons).

Kaybli, not to be too personal, but do you ever do anything like go to bed around 11 and wake up around 6 or 7? Sometimes my sleep schedule becomes so goofy that it cycles into normalness. Besides for that, usually not.
I've been getting up at 5:30AM to go for walks though since its too hot to walk during the day right now.
I rarely get up later than 5 AM, and sometimes if I post something early I'm surprised to see you on here after you were posting on a game from the West Coast. Definitely this time of year you want to get the walking in while the birds are still chirping and there's dew on the grass.

I dislike that cupcake stuff, too, which SEC powers are famous for doing. But, every now and then, Miami (of Ohio) or Troy upsets LSU, which leads to years of lamentations and immediate calls for firing the coach. Remember when Appalachian State beat Michigan in Ann Arbor? Las Vegas didn't even have a betting line on the game.

Recently I've been trying to sleep earlier so I can get up for my walk. Today was the weirdest thing. During my walk this one deer kept following me abet from a safe distance away. He followed me for a good quarter mile. Every time I looked back there he was. Usually they are scared of people

I have to say one of the most fun experiences I had was being in Tuscaloosa for Penn State-Alabama. The fans were very gracious-- definitely gave some sharp jabs, but all good-natured and they were generous in sharing their bourbon with some Yankees.

IKF on base for the second time, even though he hasn't really played regularly lately.

Pipps, you would have been adopted by tailgaters at LSU games! A few of your stories, facts about past players at LSU, a jovial disposition, and they would have plied you with liquor and jambalaya and boudin balls all night long.

It's quiet, cooler temps and no traffic on the streets. You can hear the birds and see an occasional coyote (there all over the place out here) but that's about it.
