What a disappointment. The Yankees need to start winning series. Twelve walks and outhit the Astros but still lost. Amazing how bad this offense is with so many opportunities. Twelve walks, seven hits, one HBP and one reached on an error. Everything but a partridge in a pear tree. |

Curry said from the 4th to 9th inning they left 14 runners on base and the most you can leave over 6 innings is 18 which would mean you left the bases loaded every inning if you left 18 |

Either the bullpen is short or Boone is a terrible manager. I'm going with the latter. Hey Matt, when you get a chance, maybe on the Miscellaneous thread, you can fill us in on the remainder of your trip. When we last heard you were on your way to Providence. BTW your description of your top-shelf Manhattan inspired me to do my own version. Although I use rye for mine (Michter's). I didn't have any Luxardo cherries around, and I see why -- a regular sized bottle was going for 24 bucks. I substituted a small jar -- still crazy at 11 simoleans -- but the quality made it worthwhile. |
