I see a lot of people talking about signing Bellinger and I think his #1 choice would be to resign with the Cubs. He seems to enjoy playing there and the fanbase loves him, plus they have the cash to sign him long term. I think the Yankees would just be a backup plan for him.

It’s also very easy to forget what Bellinger was in 2021-22 when he slashed .193 .256 .355 .611 66+ in 900 PA. Think about signing him for 5-6 years and then having him revert to that for the duration under the bright lights of NY. If that doesn’t make you shudder, then maybe you’d enjoy Gallo for another go…

He's not just a slugger, because he plays good defense in the OF and 1B, plus he's a good base runner.

Yeah. One Stanton is enough. RIGHT!!! One Donaldson, Ellsbury, Stanton, etc.etc.etc. Let us NOT repeat our past mistakes PLEASE!!! NO NO NO; we have DJ IKF Peraza Waldo for 3B: www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/finding-a-yankees-3b-free-agent-fit/ar-AA1gMf2c?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=fe480076aa484fd69ddf8ac527937fa0&ei=22 AND www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/yankees-may-have-new-starting-infielder-on-their-hands/ar-AA1gLH0W?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=8c91d3baf00a42fa91673edc4b6e3ed9&ei=13 AND How the Yankees can utilize Oswald Peraza in 2024. NO NO NO Trout getting OLD and more more injuries plus will cost us huge $$$ and some top prospects = Just say no!!! www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/mlb-rumors-insider-names-2-teams-that-lead-the-pack-for-mike-trout/ar-AA1gJsSf?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=c3d54980eef54046aeba09a139dade56&ei=11AND: www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/yankees-favorites-to-land-mike-trout-if-he-asks-for-trade/ar-AA1gMarL?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=2399af32cc714de3b599bcaf30cfcce5&ei=25 ...Trout, despite his formidable talent, has a spotty injury history. He’s only graced the field for 82 games this season, yet still boasts a .263 batting average and a .367 OBP, not to mention 18 homers, 44 RBIs, and a 133 wRC+. But here’s the catch: The Yankees would have to prepare for Trout missing a considerable chunk of each season due to his chronic back issues and other past injuries. He’s played over 100 games just once in the last four seasons, which adds a layer of risk to any deal. www.mlbtraderumors.com/2023/09/previewing-the-2023-24-free-agent-class-corner-outfield.htmlPreviewing The 2023-24 Free Agent Class: Corner Outfield = JUST KEEP IKF and nour Prospects, along with Judge

www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/should-new-york-yankees-cut-ties-with-this-all-star-infielder/ar-AA1gOKqC?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=fd9ad0b51c694d80833560e12a90796d&ei=26 YES trade DJ while the getting is good -- he is 35 years old and production dropping ever year ...Since signing the deal in 2021, LeMahieu is yet to even approach that 2019 season, totaling 37 Home Runs and 146 RBI over three seasons while hitting around .250. There is no denying that the versatile infielder’s impact goes beyond the numbers, LeMahieu has played nearly every position in the infield for the Yankees, filling in wherever needed and excelling at each position. On top of that, the veteran, without a doubt, has experience and leadership qualities that are not easily replaced. The drop in statistics might be negated by these intangible qualities in Cashman’s eyes. Based on his production over the last three seasons and the 45 million still owed to him over the next three seasons, it is fair to say that LeMahieu won’t command the same return that he may have once commanded. A young prospect, a depth piece and some cash could be the package that New York would receive for the star. On the other hand, given his age and salary, there may be few suitors for LeMahieu, meaning Cashman might look at waiving the vet the same way he waived Bader and Donaldson. It would be a tough departure for the Yankees organization and fan base should they lose their two-time silver slugger. LeMahieu has been around for several playoff runs and has been a clutch hitter in that time. However, it is clear that his career is on the decline and his best days may be behind him. Waiving LeMahieu would be hard to justify unless there’s a plan for a replacement, but trading the 35-year-old for a substantial package to a World Series contender may be the best route for Cashman who will be looking to squeeze as much value out of this roster as he can. Only time will tell, but a big decision is coming for the Yankees front office.

He’s a valuable Swiss Army knife in these days of short benches…
