Sevy can keep his NYC apartment. Shows how crazy sports can be. A player can miss all that time with injuries and still get a guaranteed 13 million. His last five years Sevy has pitched a total of 209 innings, going 13-12 with a 4.47 ERA, which comes out to an adjusted ERA+ of 93. That used to get you a one-way ticket to the Mexican League, not a boatload of money.

They constantly get rid of their best players, but usually seem to play around the same decent level. It's the only team I know of where it doesn't make any difference who they suit up.

It’s odd though that staring pitchers, who are handling a smaller average workload than ever are still getting paid like they pitch complete games…

Isn't that a violation? Kaybli, what is the ruling on this?

Can't wait until the 1st Subway Series game when we tag him for 6 runs in the 1st.

Isn't that a violation? Kaybli, what is the ruling on this? Oops! I removed it. But I DID like it. 🤓 I remember in 7th grade we had some kind of election for something or other and I was the winning nominee with only one vote opposing me. It wasn’t class President or anything of consequence. The teacher asked who the dissenting voter against me was and I said it was me. I didn’t think it was mannerly to vote for myself. He laughed pretty hard, and he was a sort of hard-edged man. Then he said I should remember one thing, the he personally would never vote for a man that wouldn’t vote for himself. I found out later that he was a softy that hid his soft side with a grumpy exterior. He’s still high on my list of favorite teachers, because he taught more lessons than he was paid to teach…

5 years ago that would have been a nice, promising player. I guess they like his glove. He’ll be 34 and his bat sort of died a couple years ago… confusing signing. Congrats to Wendle. Maybe they thought he was Turk Wendell making a comeback…

Can't wait until the 1st Subway Series game when we tag him for 6 runs in the 1st. I actually hope he recovers and has a decent career. I feel bad for him. Except of course when we tag him for six runs in the first. Heck, make that eight runs…

It's the only team I know of where it doesn't make any difference who they suit up. It’ll catch up to them again some day. It’s quite akin to the Cashman dumpster dive. Luck runs out eventually…
