Twitter embeds/links are working again.

Forget about the Yankees going that high. It would seem so from the past several years, but the past several years they wouldn’t have nabbed Soto, either. They may be realizing they have to come up to the current market to win…

Sounds like an opportunity for the Yankees to out bid the Giants and Dodgers. I simply have little faith in Hal pushing the envelope like George did.

Hopefully, Judge will hold Yamamoto over the hotel balcony by the ankles until he signs the Yankees' contract offer. (Sorry, the Sicilian in me lies dormant but can surface at odd times).

Heyman chiming in. I think Yamamoto wants to be a Yankee but he also wants paid.

"A Yankees contingent of Cashman, president Randy Levine, manager Aaron Boone and pitching coach Matt Blake flew to Los Angeles last week to meet with Yamamoto. Their second meeting was hastily assembled amid some internal optimism, sources say." Four guys with horrible charisma and bland personalities. Hal, Judge, Matsui, Tanaka, Cole, and Nick Swisher would have been a better contingent. I have a feeling the Dodgers win this, guaranteeing a six-man rotation for both Ohtani and Yamamoto, easing the transition to MLB and a more familiar routine. The Dodgers also culled a lot of cash from their roster to open up the checkbook for next season.
