Cashman/Hal should go after Yariel R as a SP and forget their glory-be-to-relievers philosophy at this point, i.e., after losing out on Yamamoto. The F Office boys won't, though, and though I wish they'd surprise me for once.

According to "I said" Hey-Man (Jon), Giolito was signed to a two-year, $38.5 million contract by Boston. Not sure why the Yankees could not have handled that kind of a deal or if they even made an offer.

He's definitely going to have to improve upon his last two years, where he's had ERAs of 4.90 and 4.88, which translate to ERA+ of 81 and 91. I was a bit surprised that his career ERA+ is only 98. But he is for sure durable.
