Good lord that's a haul. Cease was great in 2021 be he was off that year but he is two years from free agency.

Way too much for a starting pitcher that is not an ace. We need to hang on to both Wells and Warren. Peraza and Cabrera should be made available for a trade.

Cease is coming off a bad season. That Cease trade proposal is absurd. If I was a GM and another GM asked me for all those players for Cease, I would hang up the phone.

The White Sox GM player demands are turning off a lot of teams, including the Orioles who have a lot talent in their farm system to use in a trade.

Cease led the league in BB in 2022, his runner up Cy Young season. He walked more last season, including per nine innings.
Snell led the league in BB last season both in number and per nine innings.
Both are being touted as better than they are. What the White Sox are supposedly asking for Cease is a deal breaker for me. What Boras will ask in dollars shall be exorbitant, especially for a five inning pitcher. But, at least we won’t further deplete our prospect depth.
I miss someone like David Wells, who didn’t beat himself with walks. Where is that kind of pitcher today?

Only guy in that proposal i have a hard time trading is warren . Wells hasnt proven anything yet . That being said i think it takes more than that to get cease

How consistent will he be, who knows? But, I'd love to see the Yanks with a power hitting catcher again.

Wells isnt a very good defensive catcher and dont forget the last time they went with power over defense . As for that propsal , other than warren i dont see how thats a big haul . I just dont

I just dont I’m a dream world in the future Wells learns to play first base or is the DH and is a second string catcher. But he looked better than advertised behind the plate last season, so let’s give him time to develop a bit first…
