Max, you may be right, but I think the BP is a bit thin right now, I know we have bodies, but alot are unproven. Jon-Lo when healthy can pitch late innings, anmd so can Kahnle. I don't see either of them being moved. But your post highlights for me why I have soured so much with Cash, with the risk of beating the already deceased horse, we are over the top LT threshold and this team still has too many holes and lacks depth.
If the Yankees want to get under that Tax threshold they are eventually going to have to trust some of their prospects. Just my 2 cents, but I think Tommy K and Jon-Lo can be replaced by pitchers that the Yankees already have on their 40 man roster. Torres is a different story, if the Yankees are all in it doesn't make sense to trade him unless they can replace at least 80% of his offense.
Talk about blind faith . They already lost their 2 best relievers in king and peralta and replaced them with question marks . . As tor torres , if they plan on making any effort at all to re sign soto then the logical thing to do would be to trade him .

They could let Torres walk at the end of the season. King was already out of the Pen and Gonzalez replaces Peralta.

He was made a starter out of necessity due to injuries and german being dismissed . And while gonzalez isa good pitcher , there is not enough to go on to assume he will be better than peralta or even as good as him .

If King was still on the Yankees, there's very little chance that he'd be in the bullpen at the start of the 2024 season. He was brilliant as a starter last season and the Yanks were talking about keeping as a one, plus King wants to be a starter.

He wanted to start, he pitched very well in that role, and the Yankees were stretching out his innings. I can't say for sure, but all that adds up to him being a starter.
Well, we don't know how he will pitch as a Yankee, but Gonzalez has been a good pitcher in the past. There are no guarantees, but that also applies to Peralta who's hard hit % went up last season and the season before that. His OBP and OPS vs right-handed hitters last season was nothing to brag about.

I mean he blew out his elbow from the bullpen

Orioles Acquire Corbin Burnes Milwaukee is also acquiring a Competitive Balance Round A draft choice, reports Mark Feinsand of MLB.com (X link). According to Feinsand, the full trade is Joey Ortiz, DL Hall and the #34 overall pick in next year’s draft for Burnes. Yankees could have made a better offer , more penny pinching and prospect hugging
