Is there any evidence at all Robinson Cano used roids while with the Yankees? He got caught when he was older and far removed from the Bronx. Evidence? No. Strong suspicion, and with good reason… I was duped into liking the guy during the Yankee years, even to the point I wanted him re-signed when he was a FA. So glad that didn’t happen… Thank god we got Ellsbury instead.  |

Then you have to say the same thing for Andy Pettitte. Cheaters are cheaters. I do still count that against Andy. I think he told the truth about questions asked but I also remember the point in his career when he added a bit more velo, giving credit to adopting Clemens “workout routine”. I think there may have been some questions that were not asked that he was quite relieved they were weren’t asked of him… Pettitte also became more lean (especially his legs), rather than bulky due to those Clemens workouts, which leads me to believe that Pettitte was being truthful. Also, you are wrong about questions. Pettitte didn't lawyer up, and he not only answered questions but gave more details than he needed. He stayed at that press conference until there were no more questions. That was a penance and catharsis for a very religious individual. Cano never admitted to using, apologizing when caught but was criticized for not explaining what he was apologizing for. |

Cano was caught in 2018 and 2021, but I have a suspicion that he began using via ARod around 2009 at age 26. That .271/14/72 season in 2008 might have certainly lead to the temptation… three seasons of stardom with everyone heaping praise on him and then came the off-year… A-Rod was a bad influence on Cano, who had a bad influence on Melky…who sunk so low as to consort with porn stars. Although maybe that was Matsui’s influence… 🤓 |

So glad that didn’t happen… I was categorically criticized on the forum for wanting to trade Cano after he rejected the Yankees' offer to negotiate before his contract was over - something the Yankees had never done previously with any another player, not even Jeter. That's when I knew he wanted out of New York, the pressure to lead and win, and to be under a microscope for not always playing hard. I was dismissed for even thinking that Cano didn't want to be a Yankee. |

GIGGLES = No surprises for me = I called this season back in Feb. 2023.
Praying & Hoping they BUILT/REBOOT with their high value YOUTH (not trade them away for huge long term contract players).
We need to be Proactive with a huge sense of urgency and hustle in our 2024 games.
Now we wait and see...

I wanted to be here at the end of the game. I miss the game threads in the off season and I'm not even around that much during the games. I love reading it in the morning, from beginning to end. Lousy season with a couple bright spots. Off season should be interesting, but knowing the Yankees, it probably won't be. |

Volpe at least showed signs he should be good obviously needs some adjustments and I think wells is the real deal. Not too sure on anyone else yet but least those two seem like they will be here for years. Obviously Dominguez looked good but hopefully the injury recovery doesn't push him too much.
