Alvarez takes Chapman deep to cut it to 5-4. But inger's boy LeClerc now in to try to get the 4 out save. Promptly walks two batters.

Remember, according to Cashman, Jordan Montgomery couldn't pitch in the post season for the Yanks and there wasn't room for Harper in the Yank's outfield in 2019.

Remember, according to Cashman, Jordan Montgomery couldn't pitch in the post season for the Yanks and there wasn't room for Harper in the Yank's outfield in 2019. Yep, he mentioned having Andujar, Stanton, Hicks, and Clint Frazier - and did so rather dismissively, as if saying, "Which one of these guys will Harper replace?" Of course, Harper now plays first base as well, when at the time we were struggling to find a first baseman after all the injuries to Bird and his lack of performance. No imagination and no ability to evaluate talent for Cashman-Magoo. |

Yeah, those assessments are really looking accurate. Monty has 12 1/3 scoreless innings so far in the post-season and his teammates have nicknamed him "Big Guy." And Harper is in full beast mode. Some GMs lose their jobs with mistakes like that. Without even getting into the Sanchez/Donaldson mess. |
